WHEN THE SHEEP GO MARCHING IN
BY SHEB SCHEBELLA
Washington Anti-Gun March was fueled by people with big hearts meaning well, however as misinformed that they maybe be by the mainstream media. All I could hear over shadowing their performance was the song "When The Sheep Come Marching In."
For change to occur on a National level one of several events must transpire; a mass cultural shift with public popular support or a dictator like approach with total power ramming something through and bypassing congress.
Since Republicans and Democrats are two sides of a dysfunctional coin, the system is stacked and the powerful and wealthy call the shots, however let’s press on. The U.S. can’t even secure its Southern border and people are ignorant enough to think banning assault weapons will make all the gun crime disappear?
Also let’s take a short pause and look at the shooting at Sandy Hook. First off AR-15’s are illegal in Connecticut and they were illegal before the Sandy Hook shooting, so what relevance did this law play, the answer is none. Banning them makes no logical sense, it only appeals to the emotionally daft, but that hasn't stopped the lefties on any other matter before.
The 2nd Amendment says "shall not be infringed" Deal with it! Trying to put bans on certain types of weapons and rounds allowed in clips is an emotional knee jerk reaction that in depth analysis proves to be ineffective at best and dangerous at worst. Complete failure of critical thinking and a waste of resources on a fairy tale platform when addressing the root causes should be first priority.
The problem in this country is that the culture is ruptured and this will take time to repair on a National level, this country has glorified “SELF” and a “LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME” mentality.
Once in this country Alcohol was illegal that solved nothing and created great waves of crime, what did work was cracking down on drunk drivers not Prohibition or making cars only go 10 miles an hour at top speed. Marijuana has been illegal for years in most places in the country this has solved nothing, but only fuels drug wars on our borders. So why is it that so many people are so inclined to believe that banning a certain style of weapons will create such wonderful resolutions, I don’t know maybe it’s because they smoke to much weed.
Outstanding!
ReplyDeleteLOL... we definitely should take lessons from the prohibition times! When it comes to our weapons though... I am reminded of how I have heard that Hitler or such took away the peoples rights to bear arms before they created a military state.. most of all though.. the sandy hook incident reminded me of the "problem, reaction, solution" tactics that i am becoming aware of as one of our own governments way of engaging change.. I am just a babe on milk with this stuff though. You are right.. it makes no sense... but, if we give them an inch, soon, they will want the whole mile. Teresa Inez
